iCWild: Branding for Conservation and Community Coexistence in Africa

The Institute for Communities and Wildlife in Africa (iCWild), part of the University of Cape Town, strives for sustainable coexistence between humans and wildlife, aiming to enhance community well-being and biodiversity conservation across Africa. We were tasked with creating a brand identity that reflects iCWild’s commitment to these goals.

Challenge

The challenge was to forge a brand identity that communicates iCWild’s dedication to conservation, appealing to a diverse range of stakeholders including local communities and international conservationists.

What we did
  • Developed a logo that incorporates elements of African wildlife elements symbolising the interconnectedness of nature and human communities.
  • Crafted a comprehensive branding message that emphasises iCWild’s research-driven approach to fostering human-wildlife harmony.
