UCT Lung Institute: Uniting Medical Disciplines Under a Unified Brand

Situated within the University of Cape Town’s Faculty of Health Sciences, the UCT Lung Institute exemplifies excellence across multiple medical disciplines, including respiratory medicine, tuberculosis, allergy, occupational medicine, and dermatology. Our challenge was to forge a brand identity that encapsulated the diverse specialties into a unified visual representation.

Challenge

The Institute encompasses varied specialised units, each with distinct focuses. The primary challenge lay in creating a cohesive brand identity that unified the Allergy & Immunology Unit, Centre for Child & Adolescent Lung Health, Centre for Lung Infection and Immunity, and Centre for TB Research Innovation.

What we did
  • Crafted a logo that integrates elements symbolising the interconnected nature of the Institute’s diverse units, fostering a sense of unity and collaborative spirit in medical research and care.
  • The design reflects both the diversity and the unity of the Institute’s mission and specialties, facilitating a comprehensive and consistent institutional image.
